Hi! I'm Bobbi. I’ve always been a nostalgic person. I’d pull out our family photo albums constantly as a kid, and I have almost every photo I took on my point and shoot camera in middle school printed out and hidden away in a shoebox at my parent's house. I’d already been this nostalgic person when my dad passed away in 2019, but it made me look at the photos I take in a whole new way. That photo of my dad making french toast is my favorite of him. It was a normal day, and he was making my favorite breakfast food for me in the kitchen of the house I grew up in. When he passed away, it was the first photo I went searching for because it perfectly encapsulates who he was as a dad, and I’m so thankful I have it.
Life can be painfully short, which is something I think about often when photographing weddings. There are likely no other times in your life when so many people you love will be celebrating with you at the same time and place. I want you to remember these fleeting moments for the rest of your life.
